Proudly present by CONTACT INC, COMMON GROUND is the outcome of a collaboration between arts workers and over 30 young people that took place on Brisbane’s south-side. Workshops in music production, rapping, song writing, singing, breakdancing and krumping were developed around key themes; FAMILY, UNITY, CULTURE and FULFILMENT.
COMMON GROUND is a project designed to create a safe space for young people from diverse cultural backgrounds to make new friendships, talk and act around building peace. Young people express their values, thoughts and opinions to create an original song and clip. The workshops were facilitated by the CONTACT CREW a team of young leaders guided by the philosophy of Each One Teach One – If you’re taught something it’s your responsibility to teach it to someone else.
